Adding sound

I completed adding sound this week. I made a button to start off. Then I went to find sounds.com and got a sound. After I inserted it onto my button. Now when someone clickss on the button the sound comes on.

adding keyboard

I did adding keyboard this week. I took the code from my old game and put it into my game. In the game a rocket mopves. I am trying to get the rocket to go to the next scene. The player has to use the keyboard to move he rocket. To do this you use the arrow keys. I will use this for multiple scenes in my game.

adding mouse

This week I did adding mouse. I Created a movie clip and made him a character swimming. I also added a drag and drop code. The player will drag the boy and it will go to the next scene. Then they play the next scene and answer the question.

Adding animation

Adding animation was very cool. I Made a movie clip and named it rocket. Along with the different frames I got the rocket to move. I used the keuboard to make it move. I also made my own animation in my game. This should help me with adding mouse and keyboard.

Adding buttons

I did adding a button a while ago. I made buttons on each of my scenes. Each button links to another scene. I created an image and then made it a button. Now I have multiple buttons in my game.

I did adding a scene a couple weeks ago. I made a button with the info I got from adding abutton. I also put different layers in eahc of my scenes. In one I had the the main layer and a action layer. I now have my scene going to 3 different scenes.

Drawing a scene

I did drawing a scene this week. I used the paintbrush and pen tool and made
my own designs. I got to go throughb all the tools. I used the shape tool to make boxes and other animations. Also they give you a large selections in colors. So far my game has oaky designs but still could be improved.

Globaloria course improvements

If I could change one thing about this course it would be all the uploading. There are different tutorials that you have to complete. This takes time away from completing the actual game. By completing this more time is given to complete your game. I would still have the students and learn from them and incorporate them into their game.
I believe everyone would benefit from this. Students would have to upload files though. By having the tutorial uploads not having to be done students wouldn’t upload the wrong item and be continuing to work on their game. Then the advisors would get to see more uploads. This is especially benefit students who have already finished a year.

Game Time

So far I have been going at a steady pace with my game. My paper protoype has some similarities. Some changes have been my design. My backround colors have definately varied from my orignal plan. I am now on my first scene where my character actually moves.
I changed my mine because I didn't kn ow all of the color selections for my game.

exploring other pages

I looked up person from hurricane high school. His wiki was interesting. On his page it tells about how he like sports and other activities as well. He hasn't got started with his game. I am amazed though how he hasn't started with little time we have left to make our games. He likes basketball so I think it will be about that.
I read corey's blog and his game topic and education purpose is civics. Also his game has to be incorparated with math. His genre is adventture and his game sounds like itt will be very fun. I have not got any ideas to help me. I wish him the best of luck on his game.

Holliday fun

This season I am planning to see my family. I hope to stay with my cousin for a couple of days. Also we are going to see relatives and have a whole lot of fun. My favorite thing that i am doing is going to a basketball game. I hope everyone had a great hollidays.

what I want for christmas

On christmas I would like everything to stay the same. I love my life and all the people in it. A few gifts here and there would be nice also. As long as everything is calm and everyone is okay I do not care if I don't get a lot of gifts. The best gift in my perspective is that every person in your life and my life is okay.
There are a few little gifts I want. I want to re live my childhood. I had such fond memories when I was kid. I loved playing with all the toys when I was akid. Now that i am older it didn't sseem as appealing.

Snow Days

My perfect snow day would be a day of laziness. It would be a day from being away from school that means no homework or any studying at all. I would want relax and just lay around. My brother and I could play my xbox and it would be a blasst of fun. That would be one of my perfect snow days.
My other snow day would be to go on vacation. Going to the beach would be a nice thing to do. I hete the winter except for snow days. In my opinion winter is to cold. One advantage of a snow I would like to learn how to snowboard. That is my two dream snowdays.

Planning your game

I did planning your game this week. I made my team page and went through all the steps at the very end I should have a full game. On my team page it will show my paper prototype video. As I make my game tthere will be various scenes on the page. After my game i done and complete it will be on my team page.

Imagining your game

This week I did imagining your game. In imagining your game we had to make a flash file. In that file we had to describe how are game was going to be. My game design is going to be for anybody.Our school is trying to get a drawing pad for the computers. Once we get that I will get cooler designs. My game is going to teach diagramming sentences. This topic will be incorporated through the whole game. My game is going to have a style of notebook paper. It will be on that type of background. The setting will be like you are having to draw on notebook paper. In the game you will have to move and place the correct answer in the blank. Towards the end of the game it will get harder. The students/players will have to pay attention to get through the game. This game is better than a quiz because a quiz is less fun and keeps you less focused.

Mini game

Last year in globaloria I had many problems with my mini game. This year I can tell that improvement has been made. I got my mini game to work easily without many problems at all this year. I learned how to do the code and it was really just a refresh for me. Now that i have had a year of expirience I have everything ready and I am ready to go.

Choosing a topic

On one of the sites I found was an english game which really helped me.  I didn't know wwhat i was going to do but now I have a much bettter idea.

Game idea

This year our game has to be about english and humanities. I have thought about using a subject and verb in my game. Then I will try to incorparated in my game along with humanities. I was thinking tjhat you had to click the subject and predicat. By clicking those you would move on to the next level. Thats what I havee for my game so far.

Experience with creating wiki and blog

This is my second year of globaloria. I have made one wiki before and this is my second wiki. This is also my seconnd blog. I have had a lot of expiriences with both so I know what I am doing. Hopefully I will have a better globaloria games, blogs and wiki then last year.

Internet safety

I think internet safey is a good to keep us safe. Technology is so advanced now that it is easy for predators to track you. By not giving out information you can secure your safety.  Internt safety is a topic I have been learnig about and now understand more. My advice is do not talk to strangers and do not give out any information.
